Thought it was about time we had some Paddle Boarding news on here! Paddleboarding will be BIG this year and what a way to begin.

Yes, on Sunday 5th April, 2009 4 hardy Paddle Boarders set off at 7:30am to paddle around the Island...

Well, actually 3 people set off at 7:30 from the Lifeboat Pub and one set off a bit later. Luckily they all made the tide and evetually met up at Langstone harbour entrance, about three hours later. Unfortunatley the wind had picked up from the east and made the last run along the seafront very difficult. The circum-navigation took 5hours but we rekon you could do it in 4 if there was no wind. Obvioulsy we used the tide to our advantage and we did it in an anticlockwise direction. Well done to all those who 'ticked the box'. What a workout!
